Egypt Dream Foundation for Development and Development (EDFDI), the leading Egyptian scientific institution accredited by the United Nations, has concluded a five-year strategic alliance and cooperation protocol with the international company CRJ Capital Partners, specialised in financial structuring, capital collection and ready-made project management.
This alliance aims to integrate the deep experience of Egypt Dream in identifying priority African development opportunities, with CRJ Capital Partners ability to secure mega-financing and implement billion dollar projects, with the aim of accelerating the pace of climate action and sustainable development, starting from Egypt to the African continent.
The alliance focuses on transforming Egyptian and African national projects into investable projects. The current portfolio that will enter the immediate funding and execution phase includes:
Pioneering initiative "Green Fossil Fuels". A pilot technical project to reduce carbon emissions through high-effiency heat and energy cogeneration (CHP) Technology.
Port Said Global City - A comprehensive support for the infrastructure development and smart urban transformation initiative in Port Said.
Digital Empowerment of Costal Women Project - A strategic initiative to support women in costal communities to combat poverty.
Inventors Camp Initiative - Financing and commercialising scientific innovations to link innovators with global investment.
Green Funds - Cooperation to open financing channels through international mechanisms such as the Green Climate Fund.
Signed from Cairo and the Asian headquarters of CRJ Capital Partners.
The signing of the protocol came remotely in full agreement between the two parties, where Engineer Mohamed Hajj, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Misr Dream Foundation, signed from the Foundation's headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, while Mr. David Nour, Chairman of CRJ Capital Partners, from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where CRJ's Asian headquarters is located.
Eng. Hajjaj: "The alliance represents a paradigm shift to translate our scientific ideas into reality through smart capital and effective partnership, in order to achieve our slogan: 'Together we fight with knowledge against climate change and poverty".
Mr. Nour: "CRJ Capital's expertise in capital aggregation will ensure that *Dream Egypt* projects are transformed into globally tradable and influential assets, in a commitment from us to invest in sustainable energy and emerging markets".
The coalition begins to activate the Joint Steering Committee, with a clear roadmap to start the final feasibility study of the Green Fossil Fuels project during the first nine months.
